Portal People

Portal People is a temporary installation to draw attention to the Portal site as a future park and public space — at the corner of Bell Street and Western Avenue.

This installation consists of seven human figures in the landscape — dressed in words and reflections from members of the community, collected through the Our Belltown interview project .

Portal People are installed on top of 10 million native wildflower seeds planted in the fall of 2023.  As spring emerges, a vibrant field of flowers will fill the Portal site with beauty, voice, and a vision for the future in the heart of Belltown.
